Tim Kaine went public before you, you fucking asshole:

“As someone with mild long COVID symptoms who has spoken extensively with Virginians grappling with this condition, I’m fully committed to ensuring that our communities have the resources and information they need to get the best possible care. My hope is that today’s reports can help us do that, and I look forward to continuing to work with my colleagues and the Biden Administration to build on them.”

Once China throws even stronger support behind Russia's invasion of Ukraine, watch how sure intelligence gets.

That's not to say US intel will know. But it won't surprise me if the confidence changes.

Would you be more likely to believe it if, tomorrow, some agency said, actually, it was US clandestine sabotage of a Chinese lab that caused the leak?

Step one: post link favorable to cause without reading
Step two: get taken to task for posting link without reading.
Step three: belligerently deflect—something, something Ukraine; something, something what if bullshit, bullshit
    Step four: return to cave.

I know nurse alma is doing his performance art sj.com / NYT Pitchbot thang and I shouldn't have responded, but being in isolation and feeling like fucking hell with this shit it pisses me off the way this report is being presented.

Headline in my local rag today:

Lab leak most likely caused pandemic, Energy Department says

Lab leak most likely caused pandemic, Energy Department says

Oh, but hey, there's this in the article:

Some officials briefed on the intelligence said that it was relatively weak and that the Energy Department's conclusion was made with "low confidence," suggesting its level of certainty was not high. While the department shared the information with other agencies, none of them changed their conclusions, officials said.

How many people these days get past the headlines? The headline is all that they'll retain.

I'm going back to watching the Big Bear Bald Eagle Live Nest Cam on youtube.

Meanwhile, the CDC issued its projections for increased solar power efficiency.

Same. Should have just left it alone. But having him on ignore weeds out a lot of the headache. Speaking of, I wonder if he responded to me ... eh I don't have the energy to look.

Why is the Department of Energy investigating COVID’s origin? Is the CDC too busy inspecting hydroelectric dams or something?
