Earlier this week, he claimed to be doing issuing a stay at home order for the southeast counties, which would provide regional consistency. A day later, the Order was available and all it did was make the Miami- Dade list of essential businesses that could be open the minimum list of essential businesses. It still allowed other municipalities to add to the essential business list, but it couldn’t subtract, that is, no other SE county could say gun shops weren’t essential. It said nothing about closures of parks, beaches, or stay at home requirements. It was political theater, still leaving any meaningful actions to our local governments.

In other political theater, he refuses to allow a cruise ship with sick passengers to dock in Ft. Lauderdale. Act like a decent human being.
