Well that Easter lull is over as today is now the deadliest day with reporting still left. Going to go beyond 2,200. The Tuesday jump we continue to see. Still need to wait a few days to see if this is the peak of deaths or not. The good news is positive cases may be the lowest in two weeks. With testing continuing to be an issue, who knows, but it's still at least somewhat of a positive sign.

Still around 150k per day. 4.5m per month. Nowhere near enough testing.

So Trump's blaming the WHO because he's too stupid and obstinate to listen.

In a country of 330 million, what is realistic? Both in conducting the tests and processing the results?
Testing 150,000 people per day is the equivalent of testing a decent-sized city each day. It seems the only way we could do this and be certain we got what we're looking for is to test all 330 million Americans in one day, and isolate them all for 24-48 hours while the results were processed. That doesn't seem feasible.

I've read several reports that to get on top of it we need to test 22 million a day. At this point that's obviously unrealistic in all sorts of ways, numbers of tests, people's willingness, etc.

What this does show is that since the testing has been fairly consistent it is a good sign the number of cases has gone down. Still a lot of cases, but they do appear to at least be leveling off.

What's your solution? Or even hint of a solution? Or are you just going to continue to throw gum from the stands?

Seriously, what are you bringing to the table? "Hey you forgot to dot your i and cross your t's". Great. Meanwhile people continue to die and we don't know how.

150k/week means more than seven years to test 330m. That doesn't seem acceptable.

Alabama's infection curve is still going straight up, and that's without testing to know how bad things *really* are.
