In the America I'd like to have, doctors get paid proportionately with their impact; meaning, a 34-year-old would be paid as much as the ILB Coach at the local D-1 football program, and thus would want to give the elderly the best possible care they can receive.

You know, like they get in civilized countries, aka the Democratic Socialist ones.

 

Just so we're clear: You think doctors in socialized medicine nations are paid more than American doctors on average. Further; you're under the impression they're paid as much as sports coaches?

I don't think a 34-year-old doesn't want to work in a nursing home because of the money. I think a 34-year-old, in the early stages of their medical career, would be interested in different kinds of medicine than health maintenance and hospice care.

 

That's because it's not a case study.
