Just for shits and giggles, let your driver's license expire and try to get a new one after the expiration date.

Get back to us to see how easy it is to get a new one.

I don't give a shit if it's tough. There are certain responsibilities that come with life. If you think life is supposed to be one giant picnic for everyone who sits on their ass, you're sadly mistaken.

    Point being?

Again, even if it's five hours of your life, it's good for four years and renewal is easy.

    Some new advice:

Now, if this is the new protocol, are people really going to argue that you're better off unarmed?

It takes days or maybe weeks because you have to bring the original copy of your birth certificate, which if you do not have takes a trip to your local social security office for some more paperwork.

Psot-9/11, getting identification in this country is not easy, which is a good thing, but passing it off as simple is wrong.

The type of gun used should be in the story.

None of the stories specify yet, except in a few cases to say it wasn't his service weapon.

The type of gun will tell people how reckless he was with the weapon. Did the gun have a safety? Was there one in the chamber? How was the trigger adjusted?
