I pay $2000 for an Ipad if it was made domestically. I would not buy a shirt at Walmart
    at any price.
Anyone eating hamburger meat from Walmart I don't know how you survive.

I am now convinced gun registration will also result, down the road, in confiscation.

I love the "gun friendly states"phrase. I love living in gun country, where government knows its place.

And yet the Remington 870 Express Tactical 12 ga. - made right here in the good 'ol USA - is still only $369.

According to this, an iPad 2 that would normally cost $729 would cost $1,144 if it was made in the U.S., keeping Apple's profit margins the same.

    http://www.theatlantic.com/business/archive/2011/05/how-much-would-the-ipad-2-cost-if-it-were-made-in-the-us-about-1-140/238508/

It would cost more, but remember too, more people would be employed, which would push wages higher and create more tax revenue.

And of course, you're slamming that portion of the economy.

    I'm not slamming anything.

In fact, thanks to good 'ol American paranoia, gun sales are up, up, up!

It would be nice if the gun and ammo manufacturers made donations to Sandy Hook, since they're getting rich off all those dead children.

But at higher price would Apple sell as many. I think there would be a demand drop off.

Senate gets past GOP filibuster to debate gun control measures.

The NRA, however, has announced it will score Senators on how they voted on this. The NRA has never scored a procedural vote before, reserving it for actual votes on passage of bills. So if a Senator votes in favor of having the debate - just talking about it - the NRA is going to downgrade their rating.
