    Belinda Carlisle was singing on one of those Capitol Fourth shows. She was my first crush at age five.

    Thirty-three years later and she’s still a crush at 64 years old.

    Played golf (terribly for the most part) Monday and Tuesday. Only saw one yahoo decked from head to toe in American flags so I consider that a win for sanity.

    You joke, but we're only about a month away from the start of school here. Our first high school sporting event for the 2023-24 year is a softball game on July 28. First football game is Aug. 11.
