    Doubt if this deserves its own thread, but a lot of people are going to be pissed when they see how easy Pittsburgh's schedule is next season.

    @Baltimore
    @Indy
    @Houston
    vs NE
    vs Baltimore
    @ KC

    Those six games are tough.

    The rest?
    vs Seattle
    vs Tennessee
    vs Jacksonville
    @ Arizona
    @ Cincy
    vs Cincy
    vs Cleveland
    @ San Fran
    vs St. Louis
    @ Cleveland

    Baltimore is basically the reverse of this with the Jets and SD added to replace NE and KC.

    (1) Why is this in an NFL draft thread?

    (2) The Steelers have to play Cincy and Cleveland twice. NFL rules.

    (3) Playing the NFC West is part of the schedule rotation. And I wouldn't pencil in wins at Arizona and SF just yet.

    (4) Why is this in an NFL draft thread?

    Anyone catch the Year of the Quarterback thing on ESPN last night, chronicling the paths to the draft for Locker, Newton and my main man Tyrod Taylor? I love that kind of shit. Some pretty good stuff, especially on Locker's final season. Tough kid. I can see why people like Shanahan love Locker. Still think it's a reach at 10, but I won't be surprised if he trades down a few spots and picks him up.

    Also caught the Gruden thing with Mallett. I turned it off once John Daly appeared.

    Watching Three for The Show makes me wonder what's in Newton's head and if he is willing to put in the workload needed.

    He demeanor comes across as one who has already arrived. Does not help that everyone around him is a yes man.

    Someone needs to tell Newton to reel it in a tad.

    Agreed. The vibe coming from the Newton's was not good. Shocker.

    a) add me to those wondering why this is on an nfl draft thread.

    b) but since it is, i'm amazed every year that the day the nfl SCHEDULE comes out (the only news about the 'SCHEDULE' is the order of the games) that crap analysis like this takes place. memo to the 93devils od the world: we've known who all the teams are PLAYING in 2011 since january. so your post could've been made since then; why'd ya wait until now?

    For me it was an eye opener. I can now see clearly the question marks.

    Discussed Manning with the SE of a major southern paper just prior to the 2004 draft. We speculated whether Eli would pull something like he did, but it all had to do with the possibility of dropping to Arizona at No. 3. Even then, having dealt with the guy and having been impressed by his character, we agreed he would sign with the Cardinals should the chips fall that way.

    Obviously, neither of us was clued into Archie Manning's disdain for A.J. Smith.

    I remember how delightfully awkward it was when the Chargers took Manning No. 1. You definitely got the sense that Archie was driving that train. In hindsight, I don't fully blame him.
