    Isbell, of course, has several political songs. Some are overt ("White Man's World") while others are more subtle ("Hope the High Road").

    Madonna's politics of abortion. Like a Prayer was another intense one.

    I’m a big Isbell fan, but his political songs always sound a little forced to me. Hood seems to come by it more naturally.

    I read somewhere Johnny Ramone would write songs with conservative themes to piss off Joey. Don't know any examples.
