Todd Snider looks and sounds like shit here, but it all works. Some nice playing by the late Neal Casan and Isbell.

You get to ask Bernie Taupin about one song he wrote, the origin of it, what it means etc. What do you choose? The Elton stuff? or "We Built This City?

I imagine him sounding like a growling Patton Oswalt describing the guy who wrote “Death Bed: The Bed That Ate People”: “THIS IS AWESOME!” as he pens “We Built This City” andeveryome around him doesn’t have the heart to tell him.

Is Simon Cowell still the "genius" who encouraged the formation of "One Direction" by getting four contestants to form a group for a TV show, or an idiot for not thinking Harry Styles was good enough to make it on his own?

Seth Avett released a tribute album to Greg Brown and it’s sent me down a rabbit hole. Incredible songwriting.

Remember seeing this video on MTV and thinking it was a catchy song and deserved to be a bigger hit.

Turns out the lead singer was Lisa Stansfield, she of the one-hit wonder "All Around the World." She had the pipes but unfortunately she looked a dog.
