Going to see Derek Trucks and his wife, Susan Tedeschi, play together this week. Looking forward to seeing them both.

New White Stripes comes out next week. New Spoon comes out in a month, but it's streaming online.
The two rock jams of the summer (so far): "The Heinrich Maneuver" by Interpol and "3's & 7's" by Queens of the Stone Age.

  5. New Turbonegro (RETOX) is streaming online. No US release date yet last I checked. Means I'll be shelling out $30 for an import.

Guess that means you'll skip the new Paul McCartney album.

Heinrich Maneuver is a great song. Haven't heard the QotSA song for a while; I'll have to download it soon to refresh my memory.

Also, I hear the 10th anniversary of "The Colour and the Shape" is due out next month, and Foo Fighters will be including a bunch of B-sides with it.

I'm going through some CD updating and found out that my original copy was lost. I'd been meaning to download it from iTunes, but now I'm just gonna wait for the re-release.

For those of you who are like me and don't have a portable mp3 player of any kind and still prefer to purchase your music on CD, here's a pretty nice site -- JustTheDisc.com.

Everything costs just $2.99 per album, and, as the name implies, they send you just the disc -- no jewel case or liner notes or any of that. And if you order at least 5 CDs, they wave the shipping and handling.

I just received a shipment of about 7 or 8 discs that I ordered and all of them played fine.
