I have 15 of the albums on the Paste list. That's includes their #1, but I have to admit I'm sort of underwhelmed.

Time to come up with my top 10... I'll be back...

I also don't understand the raves over Neon Bible. Arcade Fire's stuff sounds like been there, done that. Much like the Killers rage of a couple years ago. 80s synth fad rehashed.

    I can't wait till tomorrow :D
I'm loving the concept for the album as well. It expands on a story from the song on Food and Liqour. He introduces two more characters as well(The Game and The Streets).

An album left off these lists that I find an excellent listen is the "Into The Wild" soundtrack.

I got for Christmas Athlete's new album Beyond the Neighborhood. If you are a fan of Snow Patrol and Coldplay, get this album.

I am playing it in my office right now and this is one great album.

Just got back from seeing the Drive-by Truckers for the first time. Worth the long drive. Great show. My only (minor) complaint was that they didn't play my favorite song off the new album, "Daddy Needs a Drink," but instead played two of Shonna's songs I could live without ("Homefield Advantage" and "I'm Sorry, Huston"). Now I don't have any context, but I'm thinking the Truckers' shows with Isbell might have been better, given the other guitarist besides Hood and Cooley was invisible, so to speak. In all, I think they played 10-11 songs off the new album, a few standards from Decoration Day, Dirty South and Southern Rock Opea and some earlier stuff I'm not as familiar with. I dont think they played a single song off Blessing and a Curse.

Someone gave me a copy of Wilco's Being There the other day. Aside from Outtasite Outtamind, I had never heard a single song on the CD. I really, really liked it. And I know this will not go over too well around here, but I think it's much, much better than YHF, which I own.

Oh, hell yes. "Being There" is damn solid. "A.M." is still my favorite Wilco record, though, followed closely by "Being There," "Sky Blue Sky" and "Summerteeth," in no particular order. Then comes "Yankee Hotel Foxtrot."
