    This lineup is sick.

Seeing The Stone Roses would make the whole trip worth it. Of course there are about 20 other bands I would kill to see as well.

The Stone Roses debut album was one of the first that I listened to when I first got into "indie/alternative/etc" music. It is, without any exaggeration, a perfect album.

A contact at MSG helped me source two tickets to one of the Allman Brothers shows at the Beacon Theatre in March when the missus and I are there for her birthday.

She likes their popular songs like "Whipping Post" and "Midnight Rider", but even if she isn't ready for all 38 minutes of "Mountain Jam" I know I sure as fuck am!

There are some bands I'd love to see buried down in those lineups. Johnny Marr? The Selecter? And damn, the Three O'Clock? I used to see them all the time in the early 80s. They've been broken up for ages.

Selecter is a name form the past. Friend of mine raved about Vintage Trouble after he saw them open for the Who in Toronto in November. Dropkick Murphys would be fun too, but I liked them better when they were called The Pogues.

I was planning on skipping Bonnaroo this year, but if the Stone Roses play, I'll have to reconsider.

I saw Johnny Marr about six years ago when had joined Modest Mouse for a time. The opener that night was Band of Horses, right after they released their debut album (and before they started going downhill, sadly). Saw them play outside in Northampton, MA in a small little venue. Amazing show.

    Nice.

I saw Neil Finn play in Los Angeles several years ago. In the middle of a song Johnny Marr walked out, played harmonica for the rest of the song, and then walked off. He came back out later with a guitar and they did a few Smiths songs. Fantastic.

I had seen Morrissey a couple of months earlier, so that's probably as close as I can come to seeing the Smiths.

That poster reminded me: Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds have a new album coming out in mid-February. I'm excited, and I love liking a guy like Cave who is so prolific. For my entire adult life I've been able to expect some sort of new music from Nick Cave every year.

Awesome. There are times I wish I was older so I could have seen all these amazing bands from the 80's and early 90's live.

When I was in college the Pixies were supposed to come to Syracuse on their reunion tour, but not enough tickets were sold and the show was cancelled. I'm still mad about that. The closest I ever got to seeing Pavement was when Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks opened for Radiohead back in 2003. I'm not a huge Pavement fan, but that was pretty cool.

I do feel pretty happy that I've seen a pretty good share of that Coachella lineup, sometimes the bands even played together... like Beach House opening for Grizzly Bear in 2009.

This article makes me laugh: http://www.businessinsider.com/coachella-lineup-2013-2013-1

I personally think the lineup is incredible.

Oh...and the first single off the Nick Cave album is AWESOME.

Flaming Lips also have a new album out this year.

"How Soon is Now?" and "There is a Light that Never Goes Out."

And there's an officially released version of "There is a Light":
