I think out of all of them F.A.B. has the best chance to blow up. But Mitchy Slick is raw.

    Klack! Klack! Klack!

  3. The new Roots CD [Game Theory] gets a huge thumbs up from me. The new Iron Maiden [A Matter of Life and Death]...not so much.

The new Dylan is OK -- but his last couple of albums have taken a few listens to grow on me -- I dunno, the songs all seem too long. I'm going to be spending four hours in a car on Sunday, so I'll give it another try or two.
Tuesday: Mars Volta and TV on the Radio drop new albums...those I'm psyched for.

On my way to Best Buy to get the new Black Keys, the new Roots and a Kings of Leon CD that I loaned out a while ago and have a feeling I'm not getting back.

By the way, if you're not listening to the Kings of Leon ... start.

    UPDATE:

The Black Keys CD doesn't come out until Tuesday. Shitfuckass. I was so pumped because I have a six-hour-or-so trip tomorrow morning.

Anyway, on the bright side, I finally got the new Flogging Molly acoustic/live album, and it's good so far.

And, yes, Kings of Leon will rock your face off.

I tried Kings of Leon ... couldn't get into them. Definitely seems like something you need to listen to more than once, so maybe I'll give them another spin and see if I like them any better than the first time.

I kind of like Dirty Pretty Things right now. Never found the Libertines all that special, but DPT's "Bang Bang You're Dead" is pretty good.

I think I've mentioned him on here before, but I was listening to Walt Wilkins "Rivertown" tonight for the first time in months. Just incredible songwriting and smooth Texas music.

The Black Keys have a new disc coming out??? Jesus, I need to check out amazon more often.

Ditto on Kings of Leon. I didn't care much for "Youth & Young Manhood," but "Aha Shake Heartbreak" just blew me away after a few listens. One of the better albums I've bought in the past year or so.

Heard a bit of Mason Jennings on XM's Starbucks channel yesterday. I liked it enough. Got my first taste of Keb' Mo' on there with Remain Silent, which I liked as a ... neo-blues song? ... even if the lyrics sucked. James Hunter is on a lot there, but that retro-James Brown thing doesn't get me yet.
