Arrrgh, my internet is acting dumb. If anyone wants more, let me know, I got at least 100 Lupe songs not on the album.

That would be cool, man. I'm always trying to find new things that one song just hooked me.

Any great CD that's come out of nowhere is Jerry Lee Lewis's Last Man Standing. I'm usually not big on these legend duet things but this one kicks some serious ass.

Whether it's hammering "Rock And Roll" with Jimmy Page or "Travelin' Band" with John Fogerty or "Pink Cadillac" with Springsteen or slowing it down with "Before The Night Is Over" with B.B. King or "Twilight" with Robbie Robertson or "That Kind Of Fool" with Keef Riffhard, even at 71 the Killer can still bring the heater.

I just read a good review of that in New Yorker. Might have to pick that up.

I'm counting the hours until the Killers' album drops. If the first single is any indication...wow.

    clubber sang,

thanks for the music. just give us everything you have.

  9. Fuck Robbie, that pretentious twerp. Jerry lee should have hooked up with Levon on "Cripple Creek." I've heard great things about the album, though.

  10. Lots of good releases today:
The Hold Steady -- Boys And Girls In America
    Decemberists -- The Crane Wife
    Beck -- The Information
Pernice Brothers -- Live A Little
The Dears -- Gang of Losers
Bruce - Seger Sessions (expanded edition)

Is it superior to his second disc - Day I Forgot?

Here's the playlist from the moe show I saw:

9/23/06 The Majestic Ventura Theatre - Ventura, CA
1st set: Plane Crash > Yodelittle, The Faker > The Road, Buster > Plane Crash reprise
2nd set: Shoot First, Timmy Tucker, Opium > lylelovit., Recreational Chemistry > Mexico > Recreational Chemistry
Encore: Time Again, Bargain (Cover of the Who song)

Good show. They started 30 minutes late, played for a little more than an hour for the first set, took an intermission, played another 90 minutes for the second set and did the encore that ended at midnight (Ventura is enforcing a live music ordinance so the show HAD to end at midnight, I found out from a Ventura Theatre employee).

Good show overall. For a jam band moe definitely hit a lot of high spots, especially during the Recreational Chemistry/Mexico/back to Recreational Chemistry stuff. Only disappointment was the Who cover, Bargain, because the vocalist just didn't have it at all. Drummer, however, was awesome on the song.

In all, moe is definitely worth seeing live. It was my first time seeing moe, but I was with two others who had seen them one other time. They came away satisified as moe fans.
