I've got a "Jeff Tweedy" Google News alert and have enjoyed reading the aftermath of that. I'm at work and can't check the link (computer capabilities, not policy restrictions), but I think this may be video of it:

That's insane. Axl Rose would have killed him. Jeff just kind of politely admonished him. I really do love that song.

I really wish I could have made it up to D.C. for the Wilco show at the 9:30 club last night. Anyone here go?

Damn, that was pretty screwed. Dude was lucky he only got a light face slap, and didn't have someone give him Punk Club 1983 ass kicking. Very scary stuff.

Also, some other stuff I'm digging: new Pernice Brothers, Ben Kweller and Shout Out Louds.

Anybody else like Lady Sovreign? She's cool in sort of a dorky Brit chick rapper sorta way.

I disagree. I think interest/relevance is at the same level as it's been since 1975 or so.

Your other points are on, though.

I downloaded "Puchaca Sunrise" from iTunes after I saw the video on Subterranean one night. Love that song, but now I'm now curious to hear the rest. Same goes for Regina Spektor the moment I heard "Fidelity."

Wilco's last night of the tour was at St. Vincent College outside Pittsburgh. The warm-up band was Phonograph. They were so good I got their CD "Phonograph" and had it autographed. So there's Tony Dorsett, Ray Davies, Derrek Trucks and now Abe Seiferth in my autograph book. Damn good CD. Can't stop playing it. They're obviously Wilco fans.
Of course, Wilco rocked that night. Jeff did look haggard. and was too tired to be too mean when he told some fan to shut up. He said the tour had been a rollercoaster ride and Glenn said, "You're not going to punch me, are you?"

Just picked up the new John Legend. Anxious to listen to it tomorrow. Any other reviews?

David Banner's new track may be one of the filthiest things I've ever heard. But I like it.
