Anybody heard the new U2 compilation album? Isn't there a new cut or two on it? I haven't had the chance to check it out, just wondering.

I believe this is their first album. XM 75 was playing the hell out of Atlas about six months ago, and I wanted to see them and Jonah Smith do a show in Annapolis, but it fell on a football night.

Looking back on 06, I really didn't buy a lot of CDs.

Of the two I know I bought and still listen to, I have to say the new Stone Sour CD (Come Whatever May) is my favorite of the year, and this coming in a year a new Tom Petty CD came out (which is awesome too).

Just hit after hit on that Stone Sour CD. Corey Taylor may never go back to Slipknot if he keeps getting hits like this.

I didn;t get as many as normal, planned a wedding and tried to save some cash. But off the top of my head loved, in no particular order:
    1. Crane wife, Decemberesists
    2. Jenny Lewis, Rabbit Fur Coat.
    3. Pearl Jam, Pearl Jam.
    4. Pernice Brothers, Live a Little.
    5. Josh Rouse, Sibtitulo.
    6. Corrine Bailey Rae.
    7. My Morning Jacket, Okonokos
    8. Dixie Chicks, Taking the Long Way.
    9. Last Kiss, OMPS
honorable mentions to Pete Yorn, Ben Kweller, Beck, Loose Fur. Just got the new Dylan and like it so far.

Can't wait for new Wilco, Ryan Adams, Josh Rouse, Ted Leo in 2007.

For some crazy reason, I had this need to hear the old Duran Duran song "Save a Prayer," so I just went and got the "Greatest" CD/DVD. Sadly, it will remain my first purchased CD of the year. :)

Greatly looking forward to seeing Jeff Tweedy at HOB in NOLA in couple weeks. Never seen him in a solo setting.

Gonna see him in a couple weeks in Memphis. Only a six-hour drive.
You'll probably see one of my exes down front with her friend.

I used to live in Texas, but I never made it to Austin. I heard that town kicks ass, though. Would love to get there someday.

One of these years I need to get myself to Austin -- either for SXSW or the ACL Festival.

Anybody else find it funny that The Postal Service's song is featured in a new UPS commercial?
