Wildflowers is in my top 5 of all time. Great chill-out album. Great record for writing.

 

KT Tungstall (sp?) is winning me over song by song.

 

Anyone ever hear Grayson Capps? Never heard of the guy until a couple of days ago, when my Yahoo station started playing him every hour. Really strong singer-songwriter stuff. Song playing right now titled "Mermaid." Bad jam.

 

I still have Fly Me Courageous and from time to time I do listen to the entire album. I'm not from the south either. I did buy one of DNC's other albums and it just didn't have the same appeal, but FMC is a really good album.

 

Wildflowers is a great album. Just beauty.

 

Yes, the Silversun Pickups and The Hold Steady are both good albums. I'm also excited for the new Shins CD, which comes out Jan. 23. A lot of people whose musical tastes I respect don't care for The Shins, but I effin love 'em.

 

the new shins album is stellar. just familiar enough, just different enough. a really good piece of work.

the new bloc party is also good.

 

I'm looking forward to the new Modest Mouse, with Johnny Marr of The Smiths now in the band.
The first single, "Dashboard," is on Sirius now, and it sounds GREAT.

Just heard "Penny On The Train Track" by Ben Kweller. Never heard of this guy but that's one terrific song.
