    Continuing my Tom Petty kick:

Damn The Torpedoes is in my CD player now and I've forgotten how good early Petty can be. I think next I'll take a trip through Southern Accents. I've got a hankering to listen to Night Watchman, Spike, Mary's New Car and of course Don't Come Around Here No More.

Also, two of the most underrated Petty ballads are on SA: the title track, Southern Accents, and The Best of Everything. Great stuff! 8)

Played my Zubia Brothers CD http://cdbaby.com/cd/zubiabrothers tonight.
Good stuff, doesn't rock the way they did in the Pistoleros http://www.amazon.com/Hang-Nothing-Pistoleros/dp/B000000OKD/sr=1-1/qid=1169361055/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/103-9712091-6626251?ie=UTF8&s=music
    but its still good stuff.

Ditto. Haven't heard the new album, but I really enjoyed Sha-Sha. Falling is a great closer.

Just got Mark Zubia' solo album in the mail today and listened to part of it on the way in. Great stuff from what I've heard so far.

I've spent about $30 on iTunes over the past week buying one-hit wonder songs from the 80s and 90s. I even bought Jessie's Girl, though I was a little ashamed.

You should be ashamed ... you should have bought "I've Done Everything For You" instead of Jessie's Girl. :)

Jessie's Girl is a great song, and no one should be ashamed for enjoying it, except maybe Rick Springfield, who should mostly be ashamed for beating up his wife/girlfriend.

Any additional thoughts by anyone here on The Shins new disc? I was planning on picking it up later today.
