All went well with surgery yesterday. Screws are in place in his neck, and he's moving his hands and feet. He will never have full range of movement in his neck again, but all things considered, this is the best possible outcome.

Thanks for asking.

Now hopefully we can focus on sending his assailant to prison and with suing the living crap out of him.
