When Henry and sportswriter, notajunky started posting in it.
They even both made the same mistake. They just assume anybody that opposes their hatred of all things Republican must be a Republican. Never mind that I lean to the left and sportschick a good bit farther in that same direction than I am.

The biggest problem here, and I think even sportschick is doing it too, is this need we have to wrap things up in huge generalities. There are plenty of men with a mysoginistic view of the world on both sides of the party lines.

But to say most of the criticism of Jamele Hill is born out of men having a problem with succesful female journalists is also a load of crap. Is that a factor in some of it? Probably, but there are other factors, too. It is legitimate to question her professionalism due to the blog and some people just don't like her writing.

Does she come up far too often on this site? Yup. And you know why? Because so many people on this site love to argue about the issues that are raised.

Society at large is misogynistic. Study after study after study has proven this. Not only is it both sides of the aisle, it's both genders as well. We're raised that way and it's societal. Very few societies aren't misogynistic. [/tooktoomanywomen'sstudiesclassesincollege]

I think a LOT of the criticism of Jemele comes from misogyny and jealousy and a host of other things that she can't control, just as she's earned a lot of it with the idiotic blog and the Wyatt Sexton column.

The fact that she seems to come up more often than Bill Simmons is telling if you ask me, but that's me and I'm terribly paranoid.

And this was a fine discussion before the idiots showed up.

I think it's a valid point that both genders can be misogynistic. I can't tell you how many times, growing up as a tomboy, that I would have given anything to not be female. And I read an interesting line the other day: no female boss will hire a woman within eight years of her own age and even moderately good looking, no matter how talented or qualified.

Now that we know how to run Dye off a thread (start talking about misogyny), where'd you read that at?
