I think a LOT of the criticism of Jemele comes from misogyny and jealousy and a host of other things that she can't control, just as she's earned a lot of it with the idiotic blog and the Wyatt Sexton column.

The fact that she seems to come up more often than Bill Simmons is telling if you ask me, but that's me and I'm terribly paranoid.

I see your point. My problem comes up when people's opinions are dismissed as jealousy or sexism or bigotry without really knowing where that person is coming from.

Rarely is somebody as blatantly wrong as the goofball assuming I was a Republican, but I find it extremely frustrating when somebody dismisses my opinion as a character flaw when they don't know me well enough to make that assumption.

I have plenty of flaws, but I doubt any of the people on this board really knows what they are. Well, except for writing overly long-winded posts. Lots of you know that by now.

What a stupid-assed point. If you had taken on the name of, say, Ernest Hemingway, nobody would say boo. But to take on the name of a living sports journalist on a sports journalist board is a telltale sign of just how clueless you are.
