"Wal Mart just recently celebrated their 20th Anniversary here in Perry.  Yes, it has impacted the locally owned shops and services.  However, the community has the desire to get locally owned businesses-retail shops etc. back in town.   We desperately need an apparel store, shoe store etc.  There was an apparel store specifically for women apparel and the owner did fairly well, it stayed in business for a long time-she just got burned out on retail and went back to school to become a nurse.  If you are interested in putting retail in our community, I would be glad to visit with you and give you some direction.  I am in and out of the office, so if you call and I am not here be sure to leave me a message and I will get back in touch with you.  I look forward to visiting with you soon,
