i shop at fred meyer, and i happily pay the $5-10 extra the two times a month i go to the store.

when i first moved back home, i went to a wal-mart out of midwest habit and attempted to drop about $400 there. but i first needed a little customer service before i wrote the check. i didn't receive said service, told the manager they weren't getting my money today or ever as far as i was concerned.

bitch shrugged her shoulders and said, "OK."

i haven't been back, and i tell every fucking person i meet what a wonderful place fred meyer is to shop.

One side note I would like to add, that I have seen argued on the thread.

It doesn't matter if it was $6.50, $65 or $6500. They're all paying customers and deserve the same courtesies.

It's my argument at the ticket counter and the gates. We have to take care of 'em all.

Shut it, Beaks! It was the second-most shocking revelation of moving here.

Next to alcohol sales stopping at 9 p.m.

Yeah, it sucks, although there's been some grumblings about changing it. I'll believe it when I see it.

I learned it when I drove past my liquor store at 9:15, then decided to just go to the Big Y down the street and found their beer section covered in a couple blankets.

    *sigh*

That must suck for the 147 people who live in Connecticut.

If you're really that desperate, you can drive the half hour to Mass, where they're open till 11. :)

Or just go to the bar. :)

    I'm a half-hour from Mass? Really? Huh.

I've got a couple six-packs in my fridge and some vodka in my freezer. I'm good for now. :D

I know there are a few thousand, but I wasn't counting the employees of ESPN, the Wal-Mart of sports broadcasting.

You're in Connecticut. You're like a half-hour from six other states!

No tax on the booze in New Hampshire.
