My tweet to Doug Ferguson

Discussion in 'Journalism topics only' started by HejiraHenry, Aug 4, 2011.

  1. Steve Williams just had to steal the spotlight from Adam Scott. What a jerk. Save your Tiger bashing for another day, let Scott have the moment. Williams should have declined all interviews. Instead, he uncorks this "greatest week of my life" crap.

Bigtime agreement here. He had to choose now to talk about how it's the biggest win he's ever been a part of and all that garbage, which obviously is a lie meant to hurt Woods. And a lie that no one with a brain will believe. But in the end, he had to make this about himseld and evening the score with Tiger. STFU and let your new boss be the story today, asshole.

If it makes Woods look bad, I'm all for it. :D

Except Stevie didn't make Tiger look bad. Quite the opposite, in fact.

Speaking of Ferguson ... anyone try to read the day-after story on Tiger? Seemed to be trying to go three or four ways at the same time.

That made me laugh, but only inside my own head.

Yeah, I know ... used a pro football story instead.

Ferguson and everybody else missed the biggest story of the week, which was Tiger simply making the cut. I figured there was absolutely no way he'd be around on the weekend after noted golf expert Skip Bayless predicted he'd miss the cut.

There was no cut at that tournament, was there?

No-cut tournament. Try to do better next time.

    No.

    Did Bayless really say that?

Hondo, your sarcasm meter is broken.
