I thought that myself ... who says teamwork doesn't pay in NASCAR?

I know she's not all that popular 'round these parts, but are you kidding me? Danica wrecked Hornish, which led to Gordon wrecking Boyer? Do I have that right?

If Danica doesn't wreck Hornish, it's entirely possible the race ends under green. If the race ends under green, Gordon and Bowyer are nowhere near each other. Kyle Busch wins.

She's getting a free pass tonight, and she shouldn't be because she did the exact same thing Jeff Gordon did.

Everything got bunched up after the Danica caution.

She did? After being black-flagged she stayed out on the track and waited for Hornish to come around? Wow, I need to check my DVR ... I missed the hell out of that.

Well, aren't you a friendly poster.

Danica intentionally wrecked somebody. Jeff intentionally wrecked somebody. Both should face penalties, and Jeff's should be greater, I suppose, because it happened after the black flag.

    There, you happy?

  6. I had to listen to this on the radio...
When it happened - and after - I'll bet it went 15 or 20 minutes before they said ANYTHING even remotely close to accusing Gordo of wrecking Bowyer.
When it happened they called Bowyer and Logano for running into the back of Gordon's slowing machine. No mention of 24 being black flagged. No mention that Gordon ran into Bowyer.

Impossible to justify what the 24 did. I hope he apologizes to Bowyer.
I suspect a season's worth of frustration finally boiled over. And Bowyer was the nearest target.

Childress was right to be pissed about that ending..
As said earlier this WWE storyline shit is just that and it has got to stop.

To its credit, and it's hard for me to write this, but the ESPN crew called it what it was from the jump. "Turning Bowyer into the wall!" I know it wasn't the most spirited breakdown of the accident and the aftermath, but I prefer that. They got in there, they were tight on Jeff when the brouhaha started and he got shoved out of the way, and they had the whole thing.

That's why I much prefer the PRN crew. Speedway Motorsports signs their checks, sure, but they don't seemingly have to wait for permission from France to tell the truth.

Yeah, pretty happy, but this argument has little to do with it. And I'm not trying to be pissy, but I don't think what Patrick did rises remotely to the level of what Gordon did. I missed the Patrick-Hornish tangle, but from all indications it was nothing out of the ordinary. Hornish earlier had been nudged out of the way by Kyle Busch IIUC. I suspect this is what happened from Patrick. I've scoured the web to find reports and/or videos but have yet to find anything. Given the intensity of the coverage of Patrick, I find it hard to believe that: A) she deliberately wrecked (not just a rub or a bump) someone; and B) nobody in the media's writing anything about it.

Again, I know she's not all that popular 'round these parts, but to even remotely suggest that she bears some responsibility for Gordon's ass-clown-ery strikes me as absurd. Obviously you disagree, and that's OK by me.

  10. According to the radio folks Danica and Hornish are long-time friends. FWIW.

Judging by Orville's post, those radio guys sound like idiots. I could tell right away that was intentional by Gordon, and I'm not the hardcore NASCAR fan that could usually recognize that stuff immediately. And yes, IJAG, ESPN did an outstanding job of covering that while it happened, from the original scuffle to Bowyer getting out of his car and following him on a dead sprint to Gordon's trailer.

  12. Gordo Fined a $100K and docked 25 points. No suspension.
Brian Pattie was fined $25K for his role.

In other matters BK was fined $25K for tweeting while inside his car. Nice. ::)
