I could not possibly be happier for a guy than I am for Regan Smith. Great guy who handled the Talladega debacle better than could be expected. He deserves good things to happen for him.

Let's see ... Trevor Bayne wins at Daytona. Regan Smith wins at Darlington. With Charlotte and Indianapolis still to come, Dave Blaney, Landon Cassill, Marcos Ambrose and Paul Menard should be practicing their victory speeches.

And Dale Earnhardt Jr.? Michigan next month will mark three years since his last win.

I'd like to see Ambrose get a win. He's been on the verge and he's certainly a likeable enough guy.

Couldn't agree more. The fact that he's a serious Carolina Hurricanes fans helps: :)

What does this have to do with tweaking the points system, the Chase or helping his legacy? (Agreed, wicked ... )

    We are SO friends off.

Also, three years sounds way worse than 100-something. Yikes.

I felt so bad for him. Maybe I'll ride on old tires from now on in tribute. :D

I thought Knaus summed it up pretty well.

He knew before the rest of us.

God, that would have been a caution on any planet in any series anywhere. Except the Coke 600 with Junior in front of the field.

Race goes extra laps under the BS rule, then NASCAR who'll throw the caution for a hot dog wrapper doesn't, costing the driver it most wants to win a race? Good one France.

Bizarre finish, one that basically robbed every front runner of the previous 598 miles of a decent finish. David Ragan's really the only one who ran near the front all night who managed to finish there.

NASCAR absolutely should have thrown the caution. Crazy.
