It's still true in the lower level NASCAR series, you could say all the way up to the trucks.

Yeah, the lower-level NASCAR series are still very much weekend series where the drivers are holding down regular day jobs to make ends meet.

So I'm reading about Nationwide driver Jeremy Clements being suspended for an "insensitive and intolerable" remark in an interview last week and nobody is saying what it is/was?
Did the interviewer scrub it and go to NASCAR with it? Seems kind of odd.

    To answer No. 3 ...
Does that mean Jimmie Johnson should go in the tank and let Junior or Danica of Smoke pass him on the last lap to win every race? Christ, you sound like the golf writers who get pissed off because someone like Lucas Glover or Y.E. Yang have the gall to win a major instead of Tiger or Phil.

I have no idea what Clement said, but it's funny that when it suits NASCAR the drivers are independent contractors and not NASCAR's responsibility. But then they'll turn around and do what should be team business.

Haven't seen a definitive quote, but scuttlebutt is it was about Danica winning the pole.

I thought it was supposed to be racial, with "n____-rigged" being the top guess.

NASCAR being inconsistent in how it applies its rules? The hell you say!

Of all of NASCAR's written and unwritten rules, this has to be one of the easiest to abide by. I'll sum up the strategy:

DON'T #$%@ING USE THAT WORD! EVER! THERE IS NO OK TIME TO USE IT! I DON'T GIVE A ^%$T WHO YOU'VE HEARD USE IT! THAT WORD, IN ANY FORM, IS NOT FOR YOU!

    See how simple?

That was a hard lick. My wife is fussing because she thinks everyone will blame it on her being a woman. I assured her anyone that knows jack shit won't. Anyone else, it doesn't matter. She blew out a tire. Newman did the same thing a few laps earlier.
