NASCAR running thread

But the track was clear when the leaders came back around!
And of course none of the announcers questioned the call.

Are you surprised? Pemberton's explanation of "it cleared itself out, so we're good" is ridiculous. Brad Keselowski was driving a smoking car all around the track, cars were sliding down. If it's the white-flag lap, fine. It's behind the leader. But with another nearly two laps to go, you throw that caution. Undeniably.

Unless everyone pitted under the hypothetical caution, Junior, Kahne, and the others would have been done anyway.

Harvick had plenty of gas left, I think, so he still would have been leading for the 2nd restart. Who knows how far back the original leaders would have been for a second green/white checker.

If there was an upside to the end of the 600, it was hearing DW jacking off on the air as Junior was in the back straightaway, immediately morphing into grieving and gnashing of teeth.

I couldn't get past this point, and the fact that portion of the sentence even exists makes me vomit all over myself.

    Full props to Richard Childress.

He was tired of Busch tearing up his equipment and issued a beat down. Good for him.

As for NASCAR, Busch didn't do anything to violate his probation? For the how manyeth time did he hit another competitor AFTER THE FUCKING RACE? What exactly does he have to do to violate probation, fire a gun into the crowd, set fire to the garage area, not swallow what France gives him?

What he did to Coulter wasn't worthy of punishment. That happens after most races. It was about a .1 on a 0-10 scale.

If it was anyone else, it wouldn't have even made the notebook.

Guess we have to add the Kansas Speedway garage area to this comprehensive list.

Let me guess Childress' penalty...50 owner points and a fine equal to what he'd pay for a weekend's worth of hunting ammo.
