Score two for Fox. It's fallen camera cable at Charlotte ruins Kyle Busch's car and injures 10 fans (three hospitalized).

On one hand, I'm surprised that hasn't happened yet, on the other hand ... how the hell does that happen? Massive fail. I can only imagine how the Waltrip and Co. tried to spin it on tv.

It was the usual from Fox.

Mike Joy apologized a lot, albeit well after the incident occurred. The pit reporters not named Jeff Hammond provided updates on fixing the damage.

Jeff Hammond claimed the damage done to Marcos Ambrose's car was done by a rope, which he held in his hands. Then another pit reporter correctly pointed out the CABLE damaged the car.

Michael Waltrip expressed confidence that Kyle Busch's team would get the car fixed. They did. Or at least I think they did.

Darrell Waltrip thought the stoppage would make the race better.

The Waltrips and Hammond were excessively positive. Everybody else was fine. Exactly how you would have expected it to be.

Didn't Robby Gordon's car catch on fire a number of years ago due to an in-car camera?

I think that was at Watkins Glen.

Yeah, he was running away with the win, too. 2001.

It's funny that FOX realized (admitted) about 20 minutes after the rest of the world that the cable/rope belonged to them.

I'm damn impressed by Nascar. That's big stuff. Loss of 50 driver points essentially makes Bowyer a dead title contender. (edit: someone said that was 50 points pre-reset? not really sure...)

Who knows, maybe some of MWR's sponsors won't appreciate being dragged into this, so the penalty could do even more damage. My heart just aches for Waltrip. Not.

    Bowyer's chase position wasn't affected.

In fact, Gordon has already tweeted his opinion Truex was punished too harshly and Bowyer not enough.

    Gordon should be in too.
