Boring race, and a debris caution at the end. Repetition like that should get Brian France nominated for the Hall of Fame next year.

Well, they're almost out of other Frances to nominate.

The TV jokers said Edwards wasn't really leading and that it was his responsibility to know that. Uhhhhh, no. NASCAR came on the radio and told him he was leading. I don't particularly like Edwards, but that was crap.

Well, Carl SAYS they came on the radio and told him he was the leader. I wasn't listening to the radio, but Pemberton's explanation that Edwards swerved ahead at the line with 1 to go, warming up his tires, holds water.

Regardless, even if he IS the leader, he still doesn't get to start before the zone. So he's dead to nails regardless.

    Zing.

I read Hinton's piece about the France wife deserving a spot in the Hall a few weeks ago and left scratching my head.

Yeah, I've had several people make the case to me. Never been more sure about the insular nature of the NASCAR media as I was then.

Nah ... he'll just make another tweak to his pet system known as the Chase.

I'm going to go ahead and assume the "three races without a wreck" thing ends at 'dega. And if not, I'll assume the fans will riot.

I don't know if this interests anyone or not, but due to the low cloud cover on Saturday night, the race could be heard at the 295/95 interchange. That's about 15 miles away.

Screw the "phantom debris", if that race starts and goes for a couple hours without a wreck, someone from Nascar will run onto the track to draw a yellow.

But yeah, there's not enough talent in that series to go crashless at Dega.

It's not that there's not enough talent.

    It's that there's too much Montoya. :D

Jet-fuel dryer drivers at 'Dega are already nervous ...
