Biebs, I may have been wearing the only Montoya lid in the place, on Sunday!

Wish I could give you more input on 'dega. Haven't been there since 01, though...

1.) Avoid the infield unless you're prepared. And don't take your wife in there, regardless.
    2.) Take plenty of beer.
3.) Take a fan or something. It gets real warm, depending on the weather, obviously.
    4.) Take more beer.
    5.) Beer.

And along with the beer, beer and beer, bring the following:

In the "IJAG's worlds collide" department, Trevor Bayne is apparently going to show up on American Idol tonight. :D

I may have been the only one paying attention, but a heck of a finish in Fontana yesterday. Typical race for Cali (or Michigan, for that matter), but great stretch run by Harvick, Johnson & Little Busch, w/ a great pass by Harvick to win it.

Pretty good start to the season, actually....

The only downside to that finish is that it completely masked what was a shitty 198 laps of racing before it.

Thank you, IJAG, for making that point. Channel switching during the frequent NCAA tourney commercial breaks, I was amazed at how little I saw in that race.

California is what it is. It's "five-wide racing" as they like to claim right after a restart, but it spaces out REALLY quickly and becomes single-file around a 2-mile oval for the rest of the race.

Just like MIS, the closest track (unfortunately) to me. I was in attendance a number of years ago (99??) the year Dale Jarrett won the "yellow free" race at Michigan. Craptastic.

Of course, I also saw a couple of amazing ChampCar races at both MIS & Fontana. Not that it has anything to do with a NASCAR thread :)

I'm more of a casual fan. I was only 19 when Dale died, and I never caught on with Jr. So I just watch to watch ... and to ponder why my dad and brother still love Jr. I don't get it.

When Junior took the lead late yesterday, I just knew he wouldn't hold on. And I was right.
