I love Pockrass more than anyone outside of his girlfriend, but I'm not sure a.) Pockrass has a fight in him and b.) he's ever thrown a punch in his life.

Is that why Busch can get away with shit like that? Because he knows who he can abuse and bully?

No. I don't think he cares. He plays no favorites and pulls no punches. He's an equal-opportunity asshole.

    Don't get me wrong.

I was merely commenting on that specific instance.

I know Pockrass back from when we were on the same college paper. There aren't too many gentler souls around, which means Pockrass won't beat the shit out of anybody, but more importantly, that anyone who picks a fight with him must some kind of big fucking asshole.

"Did he say I'm an asshole?! Hey, guys, you better grab me and pretend to hold me back to make it look like I might actually have the balls to go after this Bob Cook guy!! Well, at least until he walks over here, and then I'm headed for the trailer, but until then we'll be all bad-ass and shit. Don't actually let go of me."

And Kurt Busch gets a nice free weekend away from the Poconos for his troubles. (NASCAR hands down a one-week suspension.)

Proving that the pen is truly mightier than the S-word.

There are times when an athlete and a reporter get into it, and opinions are split over who was in the wrong. This is not one of those times.

Here's the thing that Bob and I hit on: Bob Pockrass is the LEAST shit-stirring person in that media center. So for Busch to be all "You're just trying to stir stuff up" is complete and absolute bullshit.

Which makes no sense to me. Dover might be my favorite track in the whole series.

Dover also seats 135,000 and has two races a year. There's no shame in drawing 80,000 or 90,000 there.
