And then he failed post-race inspection.

    Yay, NASCAR!

    McMurray is actually with Earnhardt-Ganassi.

Of the three Childress drivers, Burton would be the most vulnerable. Menard's money means he isn't going anywhere, and Harvick isn't either.

I think RC might have SOME say with EGR, just because they use RCR engines. But it's not much, I don't think. I'm couching that as much as possible, just because I really am not as in contact with the teams or the sport as much as I was four years ago.

I'm a bit jealous of my old man tonight. He's in Sparta, and he's sitting right near Junior's pit stand.

I'd like to see that track in person some day, just to cross it off the list, but I'm good with going on a Tuesday in March. :D

Looks like plenty of seats available tonight.

The "Carmageddon" of last year made sure a lot of folks wouldn't be returning this year.

Yet I'm reading stories praising the Speedway for "getting it right" this year. Easy to get it right when you've got two-thirds of last year's crowd, if that.

Tom Jensen tweeted last night that traffic leaving the place was RIDICULOUS. And if you looked at the stands for the Nwide race, it wasn't exactly a packed house.

I hope that list of yours is very, very long if the KY Speedway is on it.

I've been to several IndyCar races in Kentucky. Great track, good sightlines, the infield press workroom is a bit small, but not terrible, but the press box is excellent.

My biggest beef with the traffic control is the small town north of the track -- Warsaw -- doesn't want traffic coming through it. Given I come from Indiana, I want to go north through Warsaw, then across the bridge, then back toward Indianapolis. The police force EVERYBODY toward I-71 toward Louisville or Cincinnati.

First time I went to Kentucky, it took 2 hours to get out of the infield, for an IndyCar race ... and that was after I had written and filed my story. The next time, they ran an Indy Lights race *after* the IndyCar race and that strung traffic out enough to where there was no problem.

I've been to: Daytona, Phoenix, Vegas, Bristol, Martinsville, Texas, Kansas, Richmond, Talladega, Darlington, Charlotte, Dover, Pocono, Michigan, Indianapolis, Atlanta, Chicagoland and Homestead. Plus Nwide-only tracks in Nashville and Road America.

Current NASCAR tracks I have not seen in person: Sonoma, Fontana, Watkins Glen, Kentucky, New Hampshire.
