And that's great there are people like you. And it's great that there are people like Mizzou who'd rather spend on the sportswriter.

Because if we all only gave to charity everytime we whipped out our checkbooks... then we'd all be screwed. And so would Haiti.

How many times do we have to say to some posters on here: It's NOT charity. People are paying for his product. What is so difficult to understand?

In that context, I would rather pay for other Internet products.

    That's cool. I would, too.

But it's driving me nuts that people think this is charity.

The fact is, he said "if you give me money, I'll give you a product."

I hate the fact someone brought Haiti into this as the comparison, but what are you* personally getting from the Haitians if you donate to the Red Cross?

That's the difference between paid product and charity.

*I don't mean you personally, Dooley.

I'm not paying a dime, yet I'll apparently have the same access to his product that donors do. This is not a direct cash-for-services transaction.

Exactly. And that is clearly mentioned in his post.

    Paid product.

Okay. Lemme try one more time.

Let's say everyone in this country quit spending on entertainment, leisure, diversions or any other "non-necessity" and instead only gave disposable income to charity.

What would happen to the U.S. economy?

(Pausing to let it sink in one final time.....)

Economy would tank. And if that were to happen, no one would have any disposable income to spend on Haiti.

    Get it?
