    Trent not only covered his costs, he's now trying to raise a little more so that he can send a photographer to spring training.

    Kyle Whelliston of the Mid-Majority asked for donations after ESPN.com cut his freelance contributions by half for the rest of the 2008-09 season. He got the $4,000 he said he needed to finish the season almost immediately. He also got canned by ESPN.com almost immediately for telling people he needed the money because ESPN.com had cut his budget.

    Really. I'm sure he figured if every season ticket holder donated just $1 he'd meet his goal.

    Pretty sure it would take more than $20 to cover spring training. :)

    (Wait, I'm not renewing, so make that $19.)

    He's up to $5400 so it looks like there will be some leftover for some road trips during the season.
