Are you inviting people to cap you just so you can prove your point?

Yawn, your arguements are so filthy and flimsy it's almost laughable....almost.

I would guess that ThomsonONE would be opposed to a Scientologist running for president as well.

I think the whole “looking into a hat” thing came from South Park.

Regardless, to many people, Mormonism isn’t a legitimate faith. To some of those people, there isn’t a single religion that is legitimate.

I is all in the eye of the behoder.

    You're probably right.

And the next time I have a question about another religion, I will definitely look to South Park for my answers... ::)

Hmmmm. He must not be a "real" Republican. Because a "real" Republican would agree with Yawn, right?

    Sounds like homo-logic to Yawn.

Wow. First you take a shot at Pastor. Now you take a shot at every Republican in the United States.

I'm not opposed to a Scientologist or a person of any other religion running for President. However I wouldn't vote for one. I don't think it's rational to believe that alien spirits were stuffed into volcanoes and are responsible for haunting us into our problems. If someone else believes that, good for them, but I wouldn't elect them to office.

The underpinnings of Mormonism are riduculous to me, so while Mitt Romney has every right to practice whatever religion he chooses, I don't want any unthinking dogmatic in the White House. That doesn't make me intolerant or stupid, I believe it makes me a rational, thinking person.

  10. OK, it's five pages since Cotton Doesn't Matter there said we wouldn;t have a thread on this.
    He should be very hapy.

By extension, I assume you take that same approach with all religions (Buddhism, Christianity, Islam, etcetera).

I'm not religious, was raised Catholic but I believe none of it. Personally I like to see proof, I don't take things on faith if they make no sense. I realize that no politician can get elected without proclaiming his/her faith in God, but I think reason, evidence, science and curiosity are much more important attributes for a President.
