This has not been a pretty game, and if the Pistons ever lose they will kill themselves for not putting the Celtics away. I'm sure Pistons fans will complain about the calls, but there really haven't been too many calls that you could debate. Gut check time for both teams right now.

Seriously? How is that even possible?

Not sure, but the girlfriend better be paying about $5 a month for the channel lineup. We do get two - count them TWO - CSPAN channels, with no ESPN or any of the 24-hour news networks. Oh, and no TNT or TBS. I'm upgrading it tomorrow.

Sam Cassell brings NOTHING to the table at this point. Put Rondo back in and let him go for better or worst.

At some point doesn't Hamilton ditch the mask? Didn't he break his nose about six years ago?

There was never much doubt that the Pistons would win this game. I think they had to be satisfied to get one in Boston, and the C's should feel the same about getting one in Detroit. The Celts just didn't play well enough to win tonight and probably didn't even deserve to hang around as long as they did. Funny how quick things change. This was a must-win for Detroit. Game 5 becomes one for Boston. This has been fun and it'll only get better.

I think G5 is a must-win for both sides, Boobie.
Like I said as the game started, you could just see that Detroit was going to go wire-to-wire here. I really couldn't see them dropping this one after that embarrassing performance the other night.
All bets are off now. Both teams have proven they can win on each other's floor, and you're right, it should be fun. I'd be shocked if G5 was anything but a war.
And just a quick hit on the foul situation tonight, I had a beef with a handful of them, but that's to be expected when you've committed damn near 30 by the end of three. The officiating has been very good as far as I'm concerned in this series. And if I have one beef, it would be with cheapies being called at certain times and then not at others. Both these teams are extremely active and it seems like there have been stretches where they'll call nothing, and then five minutes later they'll call everything.
Other than that though, no problems with the officials whatsoever.

Officiating has been much better this series than a few others I've seen this year. All I ask is call the game the same way regardless of what the name on the back of the jersey says. There were an inordinate amount of off-ball fouls tonight, but I thought they went both ways for the most part. It's also tough to sympathize with either side when you have guys like Perkins or Wallace blatantly hack someone then make a sourpuss and bitch about the call.

I don't know if I'd call G5 a MUST win for Detroit only because they'd only need to win at home in 6 and that forces a G7. I think the C's are in real trouble if they have to win in Detroit just to stay alive. I think the C's win 5, Detroit wins 6 and 7... who knows. I don't expect any games to be decided by more than 10 points from here on.

I wished I was watching the Western Conference finals when the announcers pointed out that the first three of tonight's game came with nine minutes left.

Somehow, SA just tied it, despite the fact that LA has 84 offensive rebounds in the first half, and the Spurs aren't closing on shooters.

So did Berry get fouled or not? In real time, it didn't look really like a foul. But when you slowed it down, yes, it looked like Fischer bumped him pretty good.

Either way, I do not believe he was in the act of shooting.

Only if jumping on a guy is considered a foul.
