There almost has to be some explanation to what Allen went through. He really looked like he lost it; that wasn't a 3 or 4 game slump. That lasted the better part of two weeks. And now tonight he looks like the guy who was scoring 20+ for all those years.

Big key for the C's is getting Perk involved early. It just seems like when he gets an early dunk or two (like he did tonight off of a great pass from KG) it gets him going. When he's just running up and down the floor not seeing the ball he's much less active.

Anyone else finding it funny that Jackson and Van Gundy have gone against just about every single thing Breen has said tonight?

Terrible commentating as usual from these three clowns IMO. These three rehash the same exact things every fucking game and it's like they didn't watch any games during the regular season. Jackson's definitely the best out of the trio, but even he sometimes just constantly repeats himself or says something unnecessary.

Great overall game by Perkins and Allen is finally hitting shots. 'Sheed scared the hell out of me at the beginning of this game and the Pistons were getting some extremely good looks. The defense tightened up though...I think Perks has to be given a ton of credit for that.

I used to think Jackson was good but he says so much cliched stuff now I can't pay attention to him. I know they all do it, but he's out of control with it.

I like Van Gundy. He seems way different as when he's color commentating compared to when he's coaching.

    Breen's just boring.

Jackson brings nothing to the table, Breen is OK when he sticks to play-by-play and keeps his opinion out of it which isn't often enough, but Van Gundy is outstanding. I can't think of a better color guy in the biz.

Jackson can be annoyingly cliched but he says some really insightful stuff once in awhile. I know tons of people hate him, but I don't. I can't stand Van Gundy. Maybe because I usually disagree with his on-court opinions. I find him to be irritating in when he picks a side and sticks to it even if he's proven wrong. But what was up with Breen getting offended when Posey was jawing after a semi-rough Billups foul? Isn't that ordinary?

ESPN can definitely pull out a better commentating team than this one.

Celtics missing too many wide-open 3's right now.

    Perkins is playing suffocating defense.

Man, the C's have gagged most of this lead away. They are not playing the first six minutes of the fourth the way they did in the first three quarters. One more T for 'Sheed and buh-bye.

And here comes the inevitable 'Celtics have to make it close and can't just blow someone out' part of the game

GREAT decision by Allen. He's hot and could have fired a contested, transition 3 but instead took it to the hoop and gave it up to an open Garnett. Ironic thing is he probably would have taken that shot when he was OFF, but he's playing so much more confidently right now he didn't need to force it.

He was actually playing pretty good when he wasn't scoring well...he just couldn't hit his shots. His passing and defense were still pretty solid and he drained his FTs at a near-record pace. But I'll agree that it was still a very nice play.
