As a Lakers fan, I'm hoping like hell the Pistons show up tonight and extend the Eastern Conference series to seven games.
I'd much rather play the Pistons than the Celtics.

Who do you all think the Lakers match up with better?

It doesn't really matter. With the way the Lakers are playing right now, they can tear apart either one of those teams.

I'm not so sure about that.

The Lakers posted one really convincing win in that series (Game 2). And they were blown out in Game 3. Spurs should have won Game 1 and you could argue perhaps Games 4 and 5 as well.

They never trailed in Game 4 so, bad call aside, it's hard to argue they should have lost that one.

And the playoffs are about performing in the fourth quarter. They've proven to be the best at that in the playoffs, so far. Although I don't think they'll rip through the Celtics at all. The Pistons...I could see that happening.

The Lakers have looked like the most impressive team throughout the first three rounds no doubt, but they didn't look great in the fourth quarter of G4 or the first halves of G1 and G5. That may be picking nits, but I don't think they're invincible by any stretch.

I could've wrote this post before it was even read, it was so predictable. ;)

Lakers are great, but the Celtics would likely give them some problems. The Pistons could too, if they showed up and were playing their best ball. The Spurs were blown out by Kobe and the Lakers at the end of the regular season and after they dropped Game 1 in that stunning fashion, it was practically a wrap. I don't think San Antonio had the drive to repeat after last season's title -- it seemed to me that guys like Kobe, Gasol, and Odom simply wanted it more during the majority of the series.

After seeing the introductions for tonight's Boston-Detroit game, makes me appreciate the Lakers' PA man Lawrence Tanter even more. No frills, no pyrotechnic bullshit, and no fucking ad-libs. Straight to the point: position, height, school, number, and name.

Whoever that Mason "with no last name" is, annoyed the shit out of me.

    Celtics 40-37 at halftime.

Rasheed Wallace, a great big zero (0) points.
