Boston's already starting the "Beat L.A." chants.

The Finals should start on Sunday. Waiting for nearly a week won't do it justice.

Cannot wait for the finals. Another great game from Pierce tonight.

Well I guess the TV execs are happy, plus all those people hoping SA and DET would lose because they wanted "fresh faces" in the Finals.

So fresh are LA and BOS that they've combined for only 30 championships.

Wow. If I wasn't a Bostonian already, watching Steven A. and Kobe "chat" here on Sportscenter right now would lodge me solidly in the Celtics camp. I hate LA.

Makes the melodramatic Bill Russell/KG sapfest seem legit.

That foul on Paul Pierce while shooting the three was in the top 10 of worst calls I've ever seen. Absolutely terrible that a potential four-point play turned into a foul and a basket for the Pistons. That Pierce stepped up and was so great the rest of the game speaks to his leadership and character. A lot of players would have folded after shit like that and accepted that they would have to win Game 7 back in Boston. Instead, he carried the team on his back and played more inspired. Pierce has improved in almost every aspect since last season - his ball handling and shot selection especially, but his maturation as well.

It was refreshing to see the C's down by 10 late in the game and have to battle back in the 4th.

Did anyone else raise an eyebrow when Van Gundy said Rondo's biggest strength is his rebounding? C'mon now, Jeff.

Should be one of the best series in recent years. I cannot wait. I've never seen a Boston vs. L.A. Finals, but I hope it can live up to the hype.

It was great to see Pierce's reaction once the game went final, when he hugged Rivers. The guy stick it out in Boston through thick and thin, never demanded to be traded like Kobe, and now he's got a chance to win an NBA championship with a couple other guys who have never been there before.

When the playoffs began, this was the one team I could genuinely root for, and I'm glad they made it to the finals. Now, just beat L.A.
