Actually, seems like Pierce just had better PR sense than Kobe to not make his demand public. And good timing, since they got KG shortly after this.

"According to Yahoo! Sports columnist Adrian Wojnarowski, if the Celtics don't bring in another star to help out Paul Pierce, the 30-year old shooting guard is going to request a trade."

That was from the link. So in other, he probably never asked for a trade because they got Ray Allen on draft night, then KG a month after that.

But it's not like he was going to stick with them and try to get to the Finals with Wally and Al Jefferson. The way Kobe went about badmouthing Bynum was bad, but the trade demand isn't that outrageous. Magic demanded a trade early in the 81-82 season because he was pouting about Paul Westhead. He was portrayed as a baby too, but he got what he wanted - Westhead fired - and they won the title.

i like paul pierce and think he is really good and has had a great postseason, but bostonbred can you chill a bit with the rhetoric?

that has to be a rhetorical question.

    Who to cheer for?

On one hand, it's Kobe Bryant, who's kind of an ass hole.

On the other, it's Boston, which is good in everything right now. And it's Bill Simmons' favorite team.

Because of KG, I guess I'll root for the C's.
