Me neither. The Black Mamba plus two quality accessories against three "superstars" who had been career losers until this year.

With almost a week off until Game 1 of the Finals, tread on the tires will have no impact on this series.

I think they mean more long term, and not just this upcoming series. The Lakers' future looks far brighter than the Celtics' does.

Actually, I wasn't even thinking long term. I was just thinking in terms of this series. I agree with your second sentence, though. In 3-4 years, the Celtics will make the '99 Bulls look like a playoff team.

So when the Lakers win in 6 and Phil Jackson becomes the first coach to win 10 NBA titles, will he finally get his due as one of the greatest coaches -- maybe the best --in NBA history?

Sure, but they're not winning this series. Celtics in six.

Has anyone come up with the answer of who guards Kobe yet?

Pierce would scare me much more than Garnett if I'm the Lakers. Pierce is the one who will beat you in the last minute.

If the Lakers win this, the Gasol trade will go down as one of the greatest/worst trades in NBA history. In most sports it would be the greatest, but NBA GMs have made some terrible, terrible ones in the past. Just look at the original big three for Boston. I don't think LA wins more than one series without Gasol.

LA is much better off. Garnett's game will get old in a hurry with the style of play he uses.

The knock was they never got to the Finals. Can't we put that one to bed now?

But did you have them reaching the Finals? I'm just trying to remember who had them buried after that Hawks series. And who isn't impressed by what they did in Detroit. This isn't necessarily directed at you; I really don't remember who was posting with such glee when the C's were struggling.
