But, if that happened, that'd mean you could dish it out but couldn't take it.
If you were seriously offended by that, I apologize ... however, from reading your posts, I'd like to think you found it funny and wanted to beat my ass in a "OK, you got me there" way.

Ahhhh, sorry for putting words in your mouth ... but glad you still agree, so it wasn't that bad.

I'm not saying they won't win the series, but I'm just trying to figure out how/when the Lakers became invincible. Everyone wanted to harp on the postseason failures of the "Big 3" but Gasol and Odom had even less impressive postseason resumes before this run. Don't get me wrong, I think the whole thing was dumb. None of these guys on either side had ever been surrounded by a championship-caliber team until this season.

Obviously Kobe is an all-timer and they do have a nice supporting cast and depth, but I don't think the names Fisher, Radmonovic, Turiaf, Farmar or Vujacic will be featured on plaques in Springfield. I'm not saying they won't win the series, I just don't understand why everyone thinks they're unbeatable.

I think Kobe is going to make Ray Allen cry before the series is over.

The most vicious, vindictive, crazy SOB in the league with his legacy on the line vs. The soft jump shooter who has made it a point to take digs at Kobe in the past, stoking the irrational hatred that burns inside him.

    Faaaaaaaantastic.

Even though he'll probably make this C's fan cry as well, I am looking forward to watching Kobe up close for this series.

All I know is I hope the Lakers don't take the throwback thing too far again and break out the short shorts. That was horrifying.

I can only speak for myself, but as a Lakers fan, I don't feel they're invincible. In fact, if I was forced to bet everything I own on the series, I'd choose the Celtics. I feel like the Celtics will take advantage of Gasol's sometimes-timid play in the paint and Odom will space out in at least 2 or 3 of the games.
I also feel the Celtics have an advantage of having played the Cavaliers this postseason and game-planned against LeBron. The Lakers and Cavs are very similar, except the Lakers are a little deeper. I think, judging just on basketball talent alone, I say Celtics in six games.

Still ... it is hard to figure in the "Kobe factor." He is, without a doubt, the best player in the game and, I've seen him get crazy hot in games. If he hits one of those zones, then it's really anybody's series.

I thought he was already considered one of the greatest coaches in NBA history.

It's hard to argue with nine championships and possibly a 10th in the offing. To me, it'd be akin to arguing against John Wooden being one of the greatest coaches in college basketball history.

He's definitely in the Top 3.

IMO, the list goes 1. Red Auerbach, 2. Phil Jackson, 3. Pat Riley.

I'm definitely not a Fakers fan, but to me, the X-factor isn't Kobe. It's Phil Jackson.

Doc Rivers has never been to the NBA Finals as a head coach. Phil Jackson has lost more games in the Finals as a coach than Rivers has ever coached in. In fact, until this postseason, Rivers had never coached a team past the first round of the playoffs.

More than that, however, the Atlanta Hawks (a team that pretty much didn't belong in the playoffs) forced a Game 7 against the vaunted Celtics. The Hawks exposed the Celtics for the fucking frauds they are.

Cleveland forced a Game 7 against the Celtics. Hell, even the one-and-done Wizards beat the Celtics three out of four games in the regular season. Boston's a fraud, ladies and gentlemen. L.A. in six.
