I forgot Oscar, but you could move him up a couple spots or down a couple. I think it's safe to say he is out of the top 10.

    I forgot Shaq.

Kobe is somewhere in the 12-20 range. Not above West, not yet, but he's young.
In re: The 2-3-2 format: The first year was 1985, and we were loafing by the pool at the LA Airport Marriott, which was the media hotel AND where the Celtics stayed. Steve Hershey of USA Today saw Stern walk by and said, "Mr. Commissioner, from now on, when it's LA and Boston, we request you make it a 1-5-1 format."

I thought of a drinking game for all of you NBA enthusiasts out there. You will need to be drinking with someone for this to work.

You set three different tiers of players, like the stars, reserves and the bench players. You pick a player from each tier, so you have say; Kobe Bryant, Leon Powe and Ronnie Turiaf.

Each time the opposing person's star scores, you take a drink. Each time the reserve scores, you take two drinks. Every time the bench player scores, you take a shot.

Ugh. I love James Taylor, but he was a bad choice for the national anthem.

I love the tradition of a Boston/Lakers series.

And nothing shows off tradition more than a 100-foot gold trophy at mid-court.

Please tell me LA isn't this stupid.

These fucking half-court decals make me sick.

It's amazing because when he was struggling I started to wonder how he could ever be good again. I'm serious. He can't really create his own shot so when they aren't falling he looks badddd. But then when he's in rhythm like tonight and the last few games you wonder how anyone ever stops him.

Ummm.... nice effort on the 4-point play by Pierce, but didn't he actually travel?

It really says something about the NBA that the finals don't have a running thread.

They call traveling in the NBA?

    In this league?

Not a good idea for ABC to relive the greatness of the 80s Celtics and Lakers when you consider that outside of Kobe and Pierce, most of these giiys have only had cups of coffee with LA and Boston.
