difference is i admit the yanks suck right now and don't try to say joba's intensity and yelling will singlehandedly lead them to the world series.

I was having a tough time deciding who I wanted to win this series but after watching the Drama Queen Pierce and reading your posts the choice seems to be much easier now. I think soccer players were mocking that display.

Cassell has been a bust. He didn't play terrible last night, but a few of those shots were incredibly bad. He had some good points (no TOs, took a charge), but he needs to pass it up.

    Brown has been spectacular.

If I was the Lakers, I'd be worrying if only because they are so damn soft. In Game 1, instead of driving to the basket and collecting foul shots, Kobe was content on shooting jumpers. Pau Gasol was exposed like many predicted. Pass the ball a few times and you will get a open look.

The thing about LA is they can instantly wake up and start draining shots, good defense be damned. They have some 3-point shooters who make you hold your breath after the release. They need to start on Sunday because if the C's win, it's going to be hard for the Lakers to win this series.

You fell for that shit. Hockey, football and even baseball players are laughing at that shit. A wheelchair give me a Fucking break.

Yes I have played sports before and at a pretty significant level but that really is not the point

Paul Pierce rarely gets hurt, so if he crumples into a ball and needs to be carried off the court, then I won't doubt that he was in pain. I've watched the guy since his KU days, he's not the type of player who would create drama for drama's sake.

Could not agree more. Pierce's display was ridiculous. A wheel chair? C'mon. That's Vince Carter type drama queen stuff.

I respect your opinion but c'mon you watched the Stanley cup final, being carried off and then wheeled out is disgraceful.

I don't doubt he was hurt but he lost all credibility when the wheelchair came out. And the Willis Reed comparisons are laughable.

I will agree with a portion of your post, in that the Lakers' frontcourt (as currently assembled) is a bit soft. This was the series I felt L.A. would miss Bynum's presence the most. I feel that, in this series, Turiaf needs to play more and Radmanovic should play less. Turiaf has the hustle and intensity to compete on the boards.

However, being beaten on the backboards isn't anything new to the Lakers. Utah and San Antonio also dominated the Lakers, but L.A. still found a way to pull through.
I had the opportunity to watch Game 1 again and there were a number of Laker shots that rimmed in and out, and they also missed a handful of crucial free throws. As well as the Celtics played, if a couple of those "rim outs" fall or if Odom/Fisher don't miss some crucial FTs, then Game 1 could turn out very differently.
