It may be true, but Rondo is an above-average defender. He can steal a few errant passes and keep Bibby (who lost a few steps) in front of him, but he's not premier defensive PG. He has a LONG way to get there.

I did watch the game and Bibby looked exactly like he's looked the rest of the season against most every other guard. Quit stroking the Celtics so damn much because honestly, there's really no need to. They're a great team. You spouting it at every turn is the reason why they're so hated.

    NBA Steals Leaders
    ------------------
    Chris Paul (PG) - 2.71
    Baron Davis (PG) - 2.33
    Allen Iverson (PG) - 1.95
    Kobe Bryant (SG) - 1.84
    Jason Kidd (PG) - 1.7
    Ronnie Brewer (SG) - 1.7
    Rajon Rondo (PG) - 1.68

There are four PGs above Rondo in SPG. I would call Paul and Davis the top two defensive PGs in the NBA, not just because of their steals, but their overall play. Rondo is in the second-to-third tier, most likely third.

I said he's becoming a premier defender. I'd agree that he's not there yet and will still make a few poor gambles here or there. He should keep getting better at age 22, as he has blazing speed, quick hands, and is an above-average rebounder at his position.

Bibby's definitely still better than 2-for-7 with 1 assist and a turnover...especially for a team as thin on the bench as the Hawks are. He should be running that team and feeding the ball to Horford and Smith, but instead a first-year starter completely dominated him in every facet in those two games in Boston.

That's one way to put it.

You know I can't let the Boston guy have all the fun now.
Good game for the Lakers. The Nuggets made their adjustments and Bryant burned them, big time. Shooting 18 of 27 from the field was pretty damn impressive, but adding 10 assists on a night when one of the Lakers' top three players saw limited action only added to it.

Bryant showed KG-type intensity tonight. ;)
    Unreal.

Can I admit that it hurts me to see San Antonio moving above the Lakers in the oh-so-scientific poll here?

    Paul!

    Nash!

    Rondo!

It's the NBA point guard rankings, playing only in bostonbred's teenage head!

One day I want to get paid to have as much fun as Ernie, Kenny and Chuck have on Inside the NBA.
