Garnett starting to get it going and the Celtics are suddenly playing pretty well.

Though Pierce picking up his fourth is troubling.

I know they're hanging around right now, but I don't see how the C's can win if they don't start to get more from Pierce and Garnett. (As I type this, Garnett scores twice in a row)

Man, as fast as he lost, Allen got it back. I have no idea what Ariza is doing on the floor. I don't see why you put a role player who has barely played lately and has little (no?) postseason experience in these games.

Well they've gotten the bench help, but when I said that, I didn't think the other four starters for LA would have a combined 11 points! Absolutely terrible. I'm beginning to think I -- and many others -- completely overrated LA's offensive prowess. No one really doubts Boston's D, we know it's fantastic. But this is a pathetic showing right now for four of the Laker starting five.
But by the same token, Pierce has been putrid and Garnett's missed a ton of shots as well. But Boston can overcome that with defense -- LA cannot.

I know I won't be the first or last to say it, but I'm completely underwhelmed by Lamar Odom.

You're certainly not the first. He's a Rasheed Wallace without the ridiculous temper. And what I mean by that is he has the ability to do so many unique things on the floor that no one can duplicate or stop ... yet so many times you see him just floating around out there. An enigma.

Powerful effort through three quarters for Pau Gasoft (1-for-5 FG, 2-for-6 FT).

Allen is on FIRE right now. It's amazing to see where this guy was a few weeks ago. Many people around here, and I won't exclude myself, wondered if he was done he was so bad.

Hard to get in a flow when Kobe jacks a fallaway 19-footer five seconds into the shot clock ... but then again, no one else is doing much.

Odom and Gasol are killing the Lakers tonight. And it just might cost them the series. They came out hot, played aggressive, drove to the basket. Then thought they would coast to the win. Not looking good for them right now.

Plus, bitching about not getting to the line in Boston then getting there 26 times -- and making only 14 of them -- isn't helping.

Well Odom can't get it through his skull that you can't just put the ball on the floor and get to the lane at will against this team -- they bunch inside and almost disregard the bigs underneath. They allow virtually no penetration up the middle, ever. And by the same token, that has to make LA fans absolutely flustered by the fact that Gasol's been a non-factor. Boston will almost DARE penetrators to find a big, who quite often, is left with quite a bit of room to work. It's a gamble the C's take and it's worked so far.
