Betcha Kobe yells at his teammates then comes out and shoots 30 times in the second half.

Phil already said it earlier in the second, he's just going to give Kobe the green light to do what he needs to do. Funny how Gasol got all that hype when he came into LA and now that the playoffs are here he has been pretty much invisible.

    That was embarrassing.
Wonder if this will turn out like Game 7 of the Lakers-Suns series a few years ago (33-point wipeout when Kobe barely shot and basically said, "See, I can't do it all."
Wonder what kind of rant there will be from Kobe this time.
    Sigh. On to next season.

Kobe [After Game 6]: "A lot of whining. More shots, maybe 30. A lot of beers. More whining."

Thing is, if he does, he could make 20 of them and get the Lakers back in this in a hurry.

Plus both teams have squandered (or mostly squandered) huge leads in this series.

This game is not over yet.

I shared this with a co-worker today and he didn't agree at first, but was able to see the light once he thought about it.
And I feel like I have to preface it here, with all the dang political correctness that's being forced down our throats on a daily basis here in the USofA.
So don't take this a racial-profiling-type thing or anything having to do with racism or stereotyping.

But here's what's up in this series.

This is backyard, asphalt, in-your-face-defense, American-style, mostly black hoopsters who've grown up playing it this way at every stage.

    vs.

Too many European, lack-of-defense, unable to actually play much defense, one-dimensional players.

Lakers will never win a title with this roster.
Even Odom, with all his points at times here and there, has had too many balls stripped from him in this series.

Yeah, those teams full of foreigners will never amount to anything.

That's exactly what my bud said today, too.
But I told him Manu was top-o-the-line and Tony, well, he's for sure from France but he plays it like an American.
Tony and Manu are not in that foreigner mold that we're seeing with these Lakers.
    They are top-shelf foreign players.

Vuj. has to play better defense and Rad., Gasol don't play much D at all.

I've been watching bad interleague baseball and just flipped the channel.

Holy shit. What an embarrassing performance from the Lakers.

Who is playing worse than the Lakers right now?

    Just from the last game

    Radmanovich played 19 min.
    Vujacic played 20 min.
    Gasol played 42 min.

    Kobe played 44 min.
    Odom played 41 min.
    Fisher played 35 min.
    Farmar played 22 min.

Maybe they need their "mostly black guys" to play more "mostly black?" Is that it?
