I need to start bookmarking these threads. Boy, was I wrong about the Bulls.

It was also a dead zone for most of two decades before Super Bowl XX. The pat franchise has been around for nearly 50 years but only relevant since around the mid-90s. For most of it's history, it was viewed sort of like football's version of the Clippers, a low-rent franchise whose own fans cared little about. It once was known for the most apathetic fan base in football. The Parcells and Belichek era certainly changed that, though, now its know for the most obnoxious.

Sounds like a good reason to take the Celts. From what I've seen, Simmons' picks are almost always wrong.

Not to break up the talk about fan support...but did anyone catch the Hornets last night or on Saturday?

When was the last time a team put out this sort of attack on the Spurs defense? I can't remember. The Spurs look completely lost because the Hornets haven't been willing to follow their template of the way a game is supposed to unfold.

Here's something else to consider when thinking about the Hornets' quick start ...

The Spurs have never won an NBA series after falling behind 0-2 in a series. They are 0-10 in those series.

Love that stat. I like Tim Duncan, but I would love to see someone other than them emerge from the Western Conference. And who could be a fresher face in the NBA finals than New Orleans?

Well, everyone wanting to see what Boston would do in a close home game is about to find out. Fifty-two up with 24 seconds left in the third.
LeBron has been terrible and Cleveland has still managed to hang around. The story has been defense on both ends, you expected Boston's ... but Cleveland's has quietly been great as well.

This has been an ugly game. Statistically the C's should have been way up at the half, but were never really able to stretch the lead more than 10. KG is the only of the Big 3 to show up. Pierce is forcing everything and Allen hasn't been a factor at all. They can't lose this game with LeBron shooting this way because you know he won't keep this up all series. Will be an interesting fourth quarter. It'll probably come down to who heats up first: LeBron or Pierce/Allen.

When did this trend of guys wearing so many layers on the bench come from? I feel like this is pretty recent. The first thing I remember is in the last 10 years guys started putting towels across their legs and shoulders on the bench. But now you have guys looking like Muslim women on the bench. LeBron took off three separate long sleeve shirts before coming back into the game tonight. Perkins has all of the pants and jackets on, and a towel wrapped around his head to go with it. My question is when did it all start, and why? Is it that cold in NBA arenas?

Good lord the whistles are out right now ... lots of touchy stuff. If Cleveland can hang within four or five down to about two minutes to go then I'd be pissing my shamrock pants if I'm you Boobie. Your boys need to put it away right now ... or else feel the wrath. Just ask Detroit.
